Are you struggling with an issue with either a build-in-progress or a completed build?
These guides provide troubleshooting information on a variety of the most common issues that come up when building, running, and maintaining your Daytona Gun.
It contains more in-depth information than can be found in the general user manual.
Please continue reading below for broad troubleshooting tips. Before continuing on to kit-specific troubleshooting, we strongly recommend going through these general tips.
General Tips
These are some of the most common ways to potentially clear up issues before either delving deeper into kit-specific tips, or reaching out to DGA support for personalized assistance.
Use a quality NON-SLP HPA tank. Tanks must NOT be SLP (Super Low Pressure). This is because airsoft HPA regulators are designed for use with a standard HPA tank and not an SLP one. This troubleshooting tip goes for any type of HPA airsoft gun, Daytona or not.
Use high quality, heavyweight BBs. Using cheap and/or very light BBs may result in jams, misfeeds, and odd shot placement. Heavy BBs will, all else being equal, travel farther and more directly than lighter ones. We recommend at least 0.28g as a base weight.
Use a midcap magazine. Hi-caps and drum magazines are often low quality, contributing to feeding issues. The much more variable feed pressure of various hi-caps also often results in feeding and shooting issues in DGs.
Use an airsoft regulator that is, A) high refresh rate and B) single QD (quick detach). Low refresh regulators will struggle to keep up with air demands, especially in full auto. Dual QD regulators can sometimes starve the system of air, again especially in full auto.
Regularly clean, lubricate, and maintain your build. Check all hardware for tightness, and use blue thread lock on all of it.
