Symptoms

Your M249 build will cycle normally, but rounds either will not feed at all, or only feed sporadically.

Causes

Specific causes of feeding problems on the M249 include:

• Feed tube is the wrong length
• Feed tray adapter is not aligned with the engine
• Problem with bucking, inner barrel, or both
• Poor magazine position in the magazine well
